The Animal Country Club based at Wood Farm near Ongar in Essex is a renowned centre of excellence for pet care. The Animal Country Club is one of four pet related businesses now located at Wood Farm. The boarding kennels were established in 1981 and quickly followed by the cattery in 1984. All our facilities are of the highest standard and furnished to ensure a comfortable stay. Our onsite maintenance team ensure that our facilities are always of the highest standard for all our guests.

Wood Farm is the home to Andrew and Margaret Gemmill. Once known for arable farming its 70 acres of beautiful Essex countryside now provide the ideal setting for boarding your pet. Margaret Gemmill is a qualified veterinary nurse and her daughter Rebecca obtained a BSc Hons at Loughborough University and also obtained an Equine Rehabilitation certification. Both Margaret and Rebecca are the driving force behind the Animal Country Club which is a family owned and managed business. You will always find them involved in the day to day running of both the kennels and cattery. They are dedicated pet owners who care for your pet just as you do.

Being located near to major road and air links makes the Animal Country Club the perfect choice for clients from London and the surrounding areas. London Stansted Airport is only 20 minutes from The Animal Country Club making our boarding and cattery services the right choice when planning your holiday or short break.
